Pre-Season Training
Balbriggan RFC Seniors – Pre-season training starts on Tuesday this week, continuing on each Tuesday and Thursday from now on. Everyone needs to be at the club 7.00 – 7.15 on training nights. If you can’t make it or you’re going to be late, please send Leigh a text. Please can everyone bring runners and boots to pre-season training. Tomorrow at training, we will be getting sized up for our new gear; deposits for subs are also due. It’s important we make a big effort to attend pre-season. Of course, anyone interested in joining Balbriggan RFC, now is the ideal time. See you all tomorrow!
Good Luck Dean
Balbriggan RFC wish our former player, Dean Moore, the best of luck as he sets off to play in the French League with Cognac. We are all proud of your achievements, and will be following your progress.
For those interested in all things French, Union Sportive Cognaçaise (Cognac) is based in Cognac in the Charente département (Poitou-Charentes region) near La Rochelle in the South West of France. Cognac play at the Parc des Sports (capacity 2,800), and wear white and red.

Tag Rugby Day
There was a fantastic turnout at Balbriggan RFCs Tag Rugby Competition Day and BBQ. 60 players took to the pitches for a great afternoon of Tag Rugby, with the winning team receiving trophies. There was a bouncy castle and face painting for the kids; and they also got involved in their own game of tag rugby! A huge effort was made by a number of people to organise this day, and this is greatly appreciated by all at Balbriggan RFC. We also want to thank all those who came along, both players and spectators, who made the day such a great success.
Tag Rugby Competition Day – June 28th
Balbriggan RFC are holding a Tag Rugby Fun Day on Saturday the 28th of June. This is open to ladies, men and children over 12. Non players welcome. Each team must have 5 men and 2 women or 2 kids on the pitch at all times. Entry fee will be €5 per person which will cover the BBQ after also. Registration and team selection at 2pm, with Kick off at 3pm. There will also be some fun activities for the kids, so bring all the family along, to enjoy a fun day out.
Blast From the Past
As the Balbriggan Town Council comes to an end, we bring you a newspaper cutting from quite a few years ago that features Larry Hagan, former player and former Club President of Balbriggan RFC; Patricia Gallen, lifelong supporter of the club; the late Sean Murphy, brother of former Club President Seamus Murphy; along with the late Oliver Heeney.
