The U16s brought their season to a memorable close with an exciting end-of-season tour to Kaunas, Lithuania, where they took on the Kaunas Rugby Academy U16s in what proved to be a fantastic occasion both on and off the pitch.
From the moment the squad arrived, they were made to feel incredibly welcome by their hosts. The trip offered the players a great opportunity to experience a different rugby culture, build friendships, and represent the club abroad — something that will no doubt stay with them for years to come.
On the field, the lads faced a big, physical, and well-organised side. The match was played in great spirit throughout, with both teams fully committed, resulting in a highly competitive and entertaining contest. It was exactly the kind of challenge you want at this stage of the season, testing the squad’s resilience, teamwork, and skill.
A huge thank you must go to Simon, Vice President of Kaunas Rugby Academy, whose help and organisation were instrumental in making the tour such a success. The hospitality shown to the team was outstanding and greatly appreciated by everyone involved.
Away from rugby, the players had a brilliant time exploring, enjoying team bonding, and making lifelong memories together. The tour was a fitting way to round off a season full of hard work, development, and great camaraderie.
An unforgettable experience for all involved.
