The General Meeting of the Club discussed the draft of a new Constitution at its AGM held this evening. Members of the Club can request a copy of the draft new Constitution from the Club Honorary Secretary at cathalmcnulty@hotmail.com. Members are invited to submit comments on the draft new Constitution to the Hon Sec no later than Wednesday the 1st October next. The AGM will resume on Monday the 20th October to deliberate and vote on the draft new Constitution. The meeting will also serve as an information update to Members on progress relating to Project Phoenix.

The Club have a number of tickets including Family tickets for the
Australia and South Africa Autumn Internationals. These are available on a

World Cup tickets go on sale next Friday, 12 September. They are being sold in
a similar manner to the Olympic tickets in that you have to register your
name and enter a lottery for same. If any one is interested it is
recommended that they sign up on the Rugby World Cup Website now.

Balbriggan get allocated a small number of tickets for the away
internationals. If you are interested in trying to get tickets for any of
the games please let Robert Cashell know before 4 October.

Minis and Youths Rugby training is back this week. Youths training takes place each Wednesday night from 7.30pm – 9.00pm. This section is for ages 12 – 17. All welcome. Minis rugby takes place each Thursday night from 7.00pm.

Balbriggan RFCs Annual Golf Outing Fri 5th Sep- There are only a couple of slots left, so if you want to play contact Gerry Hennigan at 086 850 7876. We are still looking for some sponsorship for this event. To sponsor a green is 50 euro, a tee is also 50 euro, while it is 100 euro to sponsor a hole. Again, contact Gerry Hennigan for further information. Information in relation to a social event on that night, will follow shortly.

The Balbriggan RFC AGM has been put back 2 weeks and will now take place on the 10th of September at 8pm in the Bracken Court Hotel.

Balbriggan RFC took on the MND Ice Bucket Challenge today, while on tour in Carrick-on-Shannon. Well done to all who took part.

Balbriggan RFC Club President Gerry Hennigan, along with Honorary Fixtures Sec Gerry McDonald, were on hand yesterday to make a presentation to the Italian U20s team. It’s been a great week seeing the team train on our grounds, and also to have a legend like former scrumhalf Alessandro Troncon (their Head Coach) at Balbriggan RFC. BRFC Mini & Youth Registration Night is this Wednesday, 20th August, from 7:30 to 8:30.

Mini Rugby will cater for boys and girls born between 2003 for our Under 12s right down to 2009 for our Under 6s ‘RuggerRats’!

Youths Rugby this year will be fielding teams at U13 (DOB 2002), U14 (DOB 2001) and U15 (DOB 2000)

Membership details are as follows :

Mini Membership : €50 for 1 child, €80 for 2 siblings, €100 for 3 or more!
Youth Membership : €60 per player *
Family Membership : €100 for 1 adult and all sibling children *

* Note – Sibling and Family membership rates apply to families with children in Mini’s and in Youths.
