Sidelines to Trylines

Balbriggan RFC would like to invite women of all ages and abilities to our new IRFU initiative, Sidelines to Trylines!

Sidelines to Trylines is a new touch-rugby initiative being rolled out by the IRFU and Balbriggan RFC are proud to be one of the clubs selected to run it.

This is a non-contact, fun, and active way to get involved in a new sport, in a new team, and in your community.

Sidelines to Trylines means exactly what it says: an opportunity for women to move from watching the game into playing in a safe, fun, and friendly environment.

We would like to invite and encourage all women to come down and give it a try. Whether you’re a past-player who wants to stay involved, someone who has always wanted try rugby, a parent, or someone who simply wants to keep fit in a fun and social way, this is for you.

We has a Club have always been extremely encouraging and supportive of Women’s Rugby and this non-contact initiative is the perfect way to help us encourage more women playing rugby, keeping fit, meeting new people, and being part of a team.

Sessions takes place every Tuesday at 6:45pm.

Meet the Coaches:
Lilly Clarke is one of our women’s players from Australia. With a strong background in touch rugby and women’s sports, she is very excited to help encourage and develop the skills and social elements of touchy rugby.

Chloe Savage is one of our U18 players. Already a coach of our U10 team and Halloween camp, Chloe also plays touch rugby with Ireland U18 and has recently played in the European Championships.
