NOTICE: INTERNATIONAL TICKETS
Members of Balbriggan RFC who have applied for match tickets to the forthcoming home Six Nations Internationals, please take note of the following:
The number of applications was three times in excess of the number of tickets allocated by the IRFU to Balbriggan RFC.
The Club has therefore had to spend a significant amount of time reviewing all applications for home Six Nations tickets.
As previously stated “In order to apply for tickets you must be a fully paid up member of the Club”. For those in the youth and mini sections you must have paid family membership in order to qualify as a fully paid pavilion member.
Also “If there is an oversubscription for tickets, preference will be given to those who are actively involved eg coaches, players, committees etc. and have participated in Fund Raising events” eg sold their IRFU Draw tickets, helped with the bag packing, played in the golf outing etc.
Even applying these criteria we are still substantially oversubscribed. The Club has therefore had to apply additional limits when allocating tickets to eligible applicants. This includes for example getting only one ticket in cases where multiple tickets were applied for or making tickets available for only one match.
The Club has been trying to be as fair as possible and has put in many hours on this in an effort to devise a solution. If after all of our efforts we still have a number of people that exceeds the number of tickets available, then a draw may be held to determine the allocation of the remaining tickets.
The Club hopes to have this process completed and to issue invoices, if at all possible, before Christmas.
Again as previously noted tickets must be paid for by 31 December as the club has to pay for them in full on 3rd January. Failure to pay will mean that the tickets will be offered to the next on the list.
